IMAGINA (2007)
interactive installation + sculptural

: : Layers of Virtual Images

IMAGINA is an installation with a multi-layered, see-through display. This was my first interactive piece using programming.

With the same visual echo, this piece explores an interactive experience with your reflection on the display just like Narcissus looking into his reflection on the water.

Although the major attempt in IMAGINA was to sculpt the projection/light in almost holographic manner, and the spatial relationship with viewers was not fully considered, this realized me the importance of designing the relation, that is, environment/space itself rather than simply having a visually pleasing contents.
